The Legend of Zelda cartoon from 1989 may not be remembered too fondly by fans these days, but it has been enjoyed as a meme thanks to iconic phrases like “excuuuuse me, princess”. That legacy lives on once again thanks to Zelda fan Dan Schettini, who used a scene from the cartoon as inspiration for a creative work in Tears of the Kingdom on Switch.

Using only in-game footage along with some clever editing, Schettini put together a shot-for-shot recreation of a 30 second clip from the show. Link takes out a bomb, glides through the air, faces off against moblins, and utters his famous catch phrase. All of it is synced up perfectly with the original sequence, and it’s another fun reminder of how creative Nintendo fans can be.
